Childhood and YouthRafael Nadal Parera was born on June 3, 1986, in the Spanish city of Manacor, on the island of Mallorca, into an affluent family.
His father, Sebastian, was a private entrepreneur and owner of an insurance company and a tourist restaurant, while his mother, Ana Maria, initially worked as a perfume saleswoman and later focused on raising their children. Among Rafael's relatives, there were also celebrities: both of his uncles were involved in the world of sports, with Miguel Angel being a footballer who played for clubs such as Mallorca and Barcelona, and Antonio Nadal, Rafael's father's brother, working as a professional tennis coach.
