Biography mmr scanner frequencies

The Biograph mMR is a PET/MRI scanner for whole-body PET imaging (Delso et al ).!

The Biograph mMR combines an MR scanner and a PET detection system to create a single image.

The Biograph mMR scanner has 64 rings and admits lines of response (LORs) with a maximum ring difference of It has a transaxial FOV of

The Biograph mMR is the world’s first integrated whole-body molecular Magnetic Resonance (MR) system with simultaneous data acquisition technology. The system combines an MR scanner and an integrated Positron Emission Tomography (PET) detection system with an architecture that performs as one.

The new 3-Tesla hybrid system received FDA approval in June and is designed to provide new opportunities for imaging. While MR provides morphological and functional details in human tissue, PET goes further to investigate the human body at the level of cellular activity and metabolism.

For the Bio- graph mMR system, the associated RF coils have been further optimized in this regard.

        1. The Biograph mCT scanner consists of four rings of 48 blocks, each of which contains 13 × 13 crystals ( mm × mm × 20 mm).
        2. The Biograph mMR is a PET/MRI scanner for whole-body PET imaging (Delso et al ).
        3. The PET scanner was also tested inside a Biograph mMR scanner (Siemens Healthineers), and no significance interference was observed.
        4. For the large number of detector rings (64 in the Biograph mMR scanner), the ray tracing was decomposed into axial and transaxial components.
        5. Combination MR-PET systems have the potential to be particularly valuable for identifying neurological, oncological and cardiac conditions of disease and in supporting the planning of appropriate therapies. Since MRI does not emit ionizing radiation, Biograph mMR may provide an added benefit with lower-dose imaging.
